At the Airport—Sunport shuttle’s counter is open 9am-10pm and is located on the ground level inside the terminal across from baggage claim #3. A big yellow “Sunport Shuttle” sign is on the wall behind the counter and walk-ups are always welcome.
Rental Car
Albuquerque International Sunport serves all major national rent-a-car companies.
Buses
Albuquerque's bus service is widespread and efficient, with stops that include the airport, convention center and Civic Plaza. The city is laid out on a grid system, and in addition to the efficient regular city buses, the Rapid Ride buses provide very fast, limited-stop service on some of the city's busiest thoroughfares (the buses can shorten red lights and lengthen green lights). Bus fare is $1 for adults and $0.35 for seniors. Three-day passes are $4.
Old Town Trolley
The Old Town Trolley takes passengers from downtown to Old Town, with stops at the Albuquerque Museum, the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Tiguex Park. Trolleys run every 35 minutes Wednesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 7:30 PM. Fare is $1 for adults. In the free-zone on the "downtown get around" shuttle, fare is free.
Taxis
Albuquerque has a number of taxi companies that can be flagged down at the bus depots, train station and airport, but they must be called for pick-ups elsewhere in the city. Albuquerque Cab Company and Yellow Cab are two of the most well-known and reliable. The ride from the airport to downtown takes about 15 minutes and costs about $14 to $16.
