Are You Ready to Register?
In order to expedite the registration process, here are a few things you will need to have prepared. Our online registration system is email based; you will need a valid email address to begin registration. All communication will be sent via email, so it is very important that you enter an email address that is valid and that you check often. The online registration system will not save your information until you have completed registration. It is best to have answers ready so you do not have to leave our system and re-enter information. If you leave the registration system before completing in-full, you will lose all previously entered information.
- MEMBERSHIP STATUS: It is very important that you find out your membership status prior to beginning registration.
- If you are a current member of the Drug Policy Alliance (you’ve given a donation in the past 12 months) then you qualify for a reduced rate.
- If your membership is not current, or if you would like to become a member, you may do so during the online registration process.
- If you have questions regarding your membership please contact Judh Grandchamps, jgrandchamps@drugpolicy.org, (212) 613-8031.
- RATE INFORMATION: You will need to select the appropriate registration rate and pay for it during the registration process.
- Review the rate chart to determine which rate is applicable and reflects your status best.
- Please have your credit card number on hand; you will need to enter it at the end of registration. If you do not enter credit card information your registration will not be processed.
- If you are not attending the full conference, you will need to know what days you are attending.
- Group Payments: If you are registering as a group and want to take advantage of the group rate you must complete the group payment form prior to registering. Each individual will receive an access code required to complete the online registration.
- Negotiated Rates: If you will receive a negotiated rate because you are a co-host or exhibitor, please have your access code available, you will need to enter it during the registration process.
- SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS: The scholarship application will be completed at the same time as the registration.
- It is very important that you review the guidelines on the Scholarship page to determine if you are eligible for a scholarship.
- Determine the types of scholarship you will be applying for and the amount of aid needed.
- Lodging Scholarships: If you are requesting a lodging scholarship and would like a roommate, it is very important that you determine who you will room with and communicate with them prior to registering. If you need to find a roommate, you may visit the DPA website to search for one. You will need to know your roommate’s name, if they have applied for a scholarship or if they have registered at a regular rate.
- We recommend drafting responses to the scholarship questions in a Word document prior to registration, so you can cut and paste into the application.
- SPEAKERS: All speakers will be required to answer additional questions during the registration process.
- You will be asked to upload your resume/CV during registration, if you prefer to email or fax, please do so immediately upon completion of registration.
- You will be asked to cut and paste your 200 word biography during registration. Again, you may email or fax this if preferred.
- Please consider your audio/visual needs for your presentation. You will be given the opportunity to request audio/visual equipment. Requests will be granted on a first-come first-served basis, if necessary, so it is important to identify your needs prior to registering.
- If you have authored any books please have the titles and ISBN numbers ready, you will be asked to list them during the registration.
- INTERNATIONAL ATTENDEES: Please research the visa application process for travel to the United States.
- If you require a letter of invitation you will need to request it, by email, after completing registration.
- We will process your request and send your letter via email only if your registration is complete and paid for.
- After registering, it may be in your best interest, to contact the Conference Management Office to be sure that everything is complete and your registration processed.
